These animals run the cities they live in. They interact with people, spend time in the parks and at tourist attractions, and behave in a way that makes them almost human. Upon watching the pigeons of London, Paris, and Arles, I found that these birds had personalities of their own. They fall in love, are stubborn to pose for a picture, and will fly so close to your head you wonder if they did it on purpose. Photographing these pigeons and showing each of their personalities is a unique way to experience the gritty reality of living in a city. Having to deal with these pigeons on a daily basis gave me a different perspective of city-living that I would not capture as a typical tourist.
